BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Our exciting camp combines professional comedy and theatre training with field trips, swimming and outdoor fun! While maintaining a focus on classes that will help sharpen their comedic minds, campers are also able to choose from a variety of workshops and electives that round out a wonderfully diverse curriculum. Field trips may include Broadway in Chicago, Chicago Shakespeare, and The Second City, as well as fun friendship-building trips to a museum or a recording studio. The perfect combination of learning and summer camp fun!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Swimming, Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Dance, Music/Band, Theater, Musical Theater, and more.
CAMP FACILITIES: Campers attend acting, improv, musical theatre and film classes in an air-conditioned facility, but also enjoy the summer sunshine at Penny Park, and swimming at Skokie Water Playground and the beach.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have Counselor-in-training program for high school students. CITs pay 50% of fee.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Financial aid is available.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Play On directs 3 productions throughout the year featuring kids aged 7-17. We also have a kids improv comedy team, Chickenometry, and an advance teen improv team, Code Red Vines.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Play On Summer Comedy Camp is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and organized individual to join our summer camp team in Evanston Illinois. Intern should be available Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm.
Responsibilities:
• Assist camp staff with campers in grades 2-8
• Oversee the counselor-in-training program
• Teach and/or assistant teach backstage electives
• Help with technical aspects of camp show
• Provide administrative support
Requirements:
• Must be in college, preferably in a theater program
• Must love children and the arts
• Must crave fun in the summertime
